An Ink-Stream-Journey of the Mind
I've published this guy's work in my own comic compilations before, so you know I like his work. The thing I find most amazing about Vince Coleman's comics is that they can be different every time you pick them up. You can read the same psychedelic comic-poem-flow three times on three different days, and find something new and intriguing in it each trip through. The drawings are dense with characters and objects and meanings: an unnoticed detail can pop out at you every time you consider them, and the strange tapestry of words can suggest a new thread linking them all into a narrative you didn't notice before. Not conventional in any way, but well worth the time.
